SOMERS POINT – A local woman who received national attention as she fought a debilitating illness is working to help others who face similar challenges.

Just a few years ago, Jennifer Parker of Somers Point was confined to a tent in her parents’ backyard due to the chemical sensitivity she developed from contracting mycotoxicosis. The illness, caused by poisonous mold spores at her Egg Harbor Township home, forced her to move into the tent until she could receive a correct diagnosis and treatment from a doctor in Texas.
